Amazing Wood Ducks

The male wood duck is a lot more colorful then the female. it is more colorful because they use color for mating they have a green crest and crown and has a purple face. the female is less colorful she is mainly brown, grey , and blue.(http://www.birds.cornell.edu/nestinginfo/bios/sp_accts/wodu)

the wood duck has a habitat of wooded swamps and stream sides the wood duck is one of the only a few u.s.a ducks that sleep in trees and oak. (http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/wood_duck/lifehistory)

the female duck lays 6-15 eggs any nest with 15 eggs probably came from another mother. (http://www.naturalhistory.uga.edu/)

they need to be put in boxes so there nests don't get ruined. also there is no predators can reach the nest. (www.ducks.org/blogs/1/267/index.html)
